The Sbrisolona is the perfect cake for eating in the convivial company of friends, it's traditional to break pieces off with the hands. Its name comes from its crispness and the crumbs that are made when it is broken. A cake with authentic peasant origins, it has very simple ingredients that over time have become enriched with almonds and dried fruit. Today Sbrisolona is the flagship of Lombard pastries and has risen from being a farmer's breakfast to the queen of desserts.
